It took me a while to get to read this book.
I had so much expectations, and was scared to be disappointed.
I loved every word of it.
I already knew I was fond of the "report style" since Illuminae, but here it just made sense, and discovering characters through discussions, as some kind of observation, made the whole "science stuff" much more real.
It also made the characters more human, with just a few span of their lives exposed, some crude truths thrown in the arc of History.
I don't know guys I loved this book, and the cliffhanger made me scream, I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.

There are not enough stars or words to express how much I LOVED and ENJOYED this book. Waiting for the second book to be released is killing me!

The main reason I picked up a copy of this book was because of how beautiful the cover was - I know that's a bad reason to read a book but it turned out to be a great decision, because Sleeping Giants is definitely one of my favourite new releases of this year.

The whole book is told using interviews and audio logs, which in itself is a really interesting medium to read it (it kind of reminded me of The Illuminae Files in that sense, but with less interesting page designs - not that it lets it down at all, it doesn't really need it). The story picked up really quickly and I couldn't it down and ended up reading it until half one in the morning because I was so hooked.

If you like fast paced Sci-Fi books then I would definitely recommend getting yourself a copy of Sleeping Giants - I can't wait until I can get my hands on Waking Gods in April!
