As a geek seeking a degree in information systems with a minor in cyber security, I frequently use the search term "hacker" and variations thereof when searching the library database... this time this book came up. I don't usually read books from the perspective of the person/organization that has been hacked, but given my interest in politics, I figured I'd give this one a try. Now, there's a time or two when Brazile gets a term wrong, and that did bug me, but other than that, this was an engaging read. It talks about more than just the actual hacking of the DNC servers, and gives you a quick look into the nitty gritty work of trying to get someone elected and how the hacking and related incidents affected their work.

If such things interest you, definitely worth picking up.

This book was so terrible, I couldn’t finish it. It was cringy & embarrassing to read. All Donna does is talk up her accomplishments while feigning modesty about “saving” the Democratic Party. She brings up random bits of personal info that have no place in what she’s discussing. I couldn’t even make it to the part of the book where it actually talks about the hacking, if there is one. Seems like she simply wanted to redeem herself but this book actually made me see her in a worse light—along with the Democratic Party as a whole.
