EXCELLENT. Think 50 Shades with excellent writing, a heroine who stands up for herself and is a willing and knowledgeable participant and BDSM-positivity. A steamy book that you don't have to hate yourself for enjoying.

Well, I had to buy this because I wasn't getting approved for it on NetGalley, and I was tired of waiting to know what happened in that Sauna.
Well... now I know, and it was HOT!
Now a few things about this series. It is EROTICA! Is there a plot? Welllllll..... I would call it a plot. There is intrigue, tension, action, and a strong theme that is obvious throughout this series. I see people complaining about the sex--being too much.

I don't know about you, but when I pick up an erotica labelled book I expect a pretty heavy dose of sexual content. If there isn't I'm usually pretty disappointed. I actually think there isn't enough sex in it for the erotica label. I believe that the two main characters in the book are establishing a bond aside from the sex, which you don't get in most erotica novels. I think the plot is interesting, I know there will be a bigger threat.
Cole is a strong writer with a powerful voice in fiction. She writes her books well, and give you characters on a silver platter of feels. I can't say that HE was frustrating me the most, with his "I'm not gonna get you wrapped up in the lifestyle BS" and it is BS because if you get a girl off in a bondage situation and she response to it like Natalie did--you should know better mister! Shame on you! But in our great favor, he (I don't know how to spell his name on the fly so I am calling him HE! lol) has finally buckled under the pressure and has taken her to a private kink club.... Bring on BOOK THREE!!!!!

How many 50 Shades of Grey style books can the world stand? Part 1 at least took a slightly different approach to how these plots usually go. Part 2 descends in to the same old. 3/4 of the way through and I quit.

Beyond compare this book just raced to the top with my favorites of all time.

Well that was just mean. I'm glad I waited for the third installment to be released before I started on the second with that big a cliff hanger. On the one hand it was good and I do like the characters on the other hand it's not the best plot I've ever read but then maybe that's not the point. We'll see when we get to the end.

OMG, part 2 of course would end right at the perfect point to want to read more... I'm really loving the Russian aspect to this story - the translations. It's hard to rate the book higher mainly because I want the story to have more action (outside of the bedroom). I want him to have to be a bad mamma jamma to protect her later in the story.

Didn't quite live up to the first one but still managed to be better than average.
Still liking the characters and where they have taken me and where I think they are going to go.
BDSM aspects are more frequent in this one and in the beginning the story arc takes a hit because of it. The ending part revs up with some action however.

The next part... I had to go back and read my review of part 1 to remember where it left off. :)
But I have part 3 waiting for me so I will be able to go right over to it once I finish this one.
Now there are things that happen in this one that change the relationship she has with Sevastyan, I am so glad I waited for the next one before starting this one because that ending...it would have pissed me off. BIG TIME!
I didn't understand what his issue was with her, why he was just being so dominating one minute than soft and sweet the next. It made no sense but we find out why later.
There is not an extreme amount to say about this one other than as soon as it seemed to get good again it was over.
But I have part 3 waiting for me so I will be able to go right over to it once I finish this one.
