I had really high hopes for this book (look at the cover!) but it failed to deliver for me. The language was long and wordy. The reader also seems to be directly addressing the main character, and I find that really odd.

Not a fan of the strangely outlined illustrations. The technique made the pictures look like they were badly aligned when printed (like old fashioned comic books) and it made my eyes hurt to look at them. Too bad since I love sheepy antics!

This is a rhyming count down book. The illustrations are fun, but nothing special. It might do in a pinch to fill in a storytime program, but it is pretty forgettable.

A adorable counting book featuring some seriously badly behaved sheep. (Occasionally in costumes!)

This book was hilarious to me. I would rate it on the level of the Doreen Cronin books, which are some of my favorite!

It inspired me to create an entire story time around silly farm animals!

Must read if you appreciate the humorous behavior of errant sheep!

This one is lovely! The rhymes and the adventurous hiding sheep make it a joy to read aloud.

This is a cute book, but the noteworthy difference between this and other counting books is that it starts with the bigger numbers and works its way to small numbers. Little guy didn't burn out on counting the sheep when he started with the bigger numbers!

This rhyming picture book takes children on a backwards count from 10 as the sheep head out on an adventure while the Farmer must find them to sheer their wool.
