I think Mira grant’s writing is good and in terms of zombie books this series is decent. I love the concept of incorporating social media into the zombie apocalypse. I think at the time it was written it was perfect because it encapsulates that aspect a lot better than a modern day book even good. Although after seeing the reaction to Covid people would complain so much and things would be a lot worse.
My big complaint is the series is somehow so boring

I felt things went by a little fast at the end. I feel that portion of the story needed to be expanded upon. Other than that, really enjoyed this book.

I wanted to like this book. No, I wanted to LOVE it. The first two are sitting happily on my favorites list, but somehow the end of this one just really really turned me off. I really can't pinpoint what it was.
I think I wanted to be ignore the whole tension between George and Shaun. But unfortunately it went the way I didn't want it to go, things got awkward, my ships sank, the clone coming back basically negates all the feelings I had for characters in the first two books, and if I hear anymore about how George needs a Coke, I'm going to punch someone. We get it, you're addicted and I bet you have cavities.
And I'm done. I loved my characters in the last books, I didn't like where it ended up.

The plot of this one is just ok and the world building is almost nonexistent. the romance subplot is disgusting
