I sped through this book in only 3 days. Almost every interaction between Bryson and Katz had me laughing out loud.

An enjoyable read/listen, both for the foibles of Bryson and those he encountered hiking as well as the historical and scientific interludes. Some sections were more compelling than others and this wasn’t a page turner for me. It has prompted reflection on how I think about nature, wilderness, recreation, and tourism.
