Really liked the travelogue, really disliked how mean the author was in the name of humor, I guess

A light-hearted yet occasionally sombre and enlightening account of Bryson's trek along the Appalachian trail. Like other Bryson books I've read, it has many side tangents accompanying his journey and most of them are either humourous, educational, encouraging or a combination of all three.
Moderate: Alcoholism
Minor: Death
