YAY !!! True to my own promise to me I finished this last night. Mr. Whyte must have researched this all for years before starting this project, well of course he did. As someone who never really was that big into "History" I learned a Bunch of stuff from this book and his first in the series The Knights of the Black and White. The sad part is having to wait another year for book 3 .

Jack Whyte books take a bit to get into and this was the same with this book. I was ready to give up and then it got interesting. I'm a sucker for these Crusades books and I have studied this in university, so this is like coming back home, so to speak.
I liked this one better than the first one, which felt kind of weird. This one, I liked since it detailed more of the politics and the motivations of going on Crusade.
