It's terrible. The language is very simple and basic; curse words in every sentence. The advice is not helpful at all. The book is more about author's arrogancy than self help.

I found this fucking great. Knight’s parody of ‘the life-changing magic of tidying up’ by Marie Kondo did actually provide some insightful and useful tips for having a mental declutter with many gains from her NotSorry method that are similar to the KonMari method. We are encouraged to take a trip through our minds and list all the things that we do or do not give a fuck about in different categories, then decide whether or not to give them our fucks - depending on if they annoy or bring happiness and/or fit within our fuck budget. Unlike Kondo’s ‘thank you’ to the things we choose to throw away, Knight guides us to say a little ‘fuck you’ to all the things we no longer want to give a fuck about. Then we learn various ways to actually stop giving fucks to these things and then have more time, energy and/or money (the holy trinity) to give fucks to things we actually get pleasure from. And the implications of this.

I really fucking liked this self-help guide to be honest. And it’s also quite fucking funny in parts - witty, relatable, honest… an enjoyable read. Fairness to say some ‘humour’ was forced and it did get rather repetitive a lot but I don’t really think Sarah gives a fuck about this.

I haven’t yet applied the NotSorry approach to my life and possible ‘to fuck or not to fuck’ lists (haven’t made them yet) but I definitely want to try this out as my mind has a LOT of mental clutter and I honestly give too many fucks to things I maybe shouldn’t so Yhh I do need to try this out. Specifically the part about people’s opinions - oof do I need to stop giving a fuck about that. I do feel like I may do this periodically when my mental barn as Knight calls it gets clogged up a bit so will be going back to this book.

Last note: if you don’t like constant fuck, fuck, fuck then this book maybe isn’t for you. I don’t use this word that much in my life and next to never in my social representations (e.g. my reviews) but I’m trying to make a point at how often it’s used here so Yhh, take it as you like.
