When sixteen-year-old Georgia Avis discovers the dead body of thirteen-year-old Ashley James, she teams up with Ashley’s older sister, Nora, to find and bring the killer to justice before he strikes again. This was a quick read intriguing premise. It was pretty heavy and had its tough stuff for sure, but I didn't fully connect with it as I had hoped that I would.

This book was almost nothing like the summary and at the same time the plot was still easy to follow. I felt like this book was 16+ or even a new adult with some of the scenes that made me cringe. In the end it was in a way a disappointment to me.

I don't know I couldn't relate to this book. I just did not go there. I know it happens all the time and I love Courtney for bringing up hard topics and writing about them. But I just did not connect to this one. And that by no means that this topic is not real and that it might not hold more for others. I know girls put themselves is those situations and it is a topic that should be addressed and discussed as I said I just did not connect to this book as I did some of her others.

Not every Courtney Summers is for everyone. However, each one will hurt in just the right amount in just the right way that makes you come back over and over which is exactly what this one is.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.
