No, I haven't read every word of it, but I have read enough to say it's a good, solid anthology. Yes, I quarrel with some of the choices (or rather, with the things that were left out in order to include some of the choices).

Obviously haven't read the whole thing, but I got my use out of it. There are some very important poems and stories in this that can help to give context to more modern ones.

A very good anthology containing the classics from the eighteenth century in England, it contains stories that everyone should have knowledge of.

I didn't read everything in here, but I did read pretty much everything.

I loved most of the periods covered in this books which surprised me. I didn't expect to like Anglo-Saxon Lit.

I'm still not a fan of Swift though--excluding A Modest Proposal of course.
