Got through this one quicker than the first one. I think it was mostly due to the backstory of Jiro. We got some answers to why he is the way that he is, but again everything felt very rushed with lingering questions with no answers. What happened to the group after Ichigo was killed? Did they ever find out the truth of what actually happened? The layout and the color scheme was the best part of the comic. Interesting backstory, great color scheme, and little hints of character background. That's about it.

Goes with vol. 1. Read them both.

I like the art style, it's bright and stylized a bit but not particularly interesting. I liked the food bits, cause food. The rest was meh.

This was pretty disappointing. Granted, I didn't give a super high review of the first, but the things that I liked in it- the food, the slight mocking of foodie culture, etc- that was all missing here. Just a bunch of Yakuza stuff, which felt kind of random and incoherent (that may be harsh... but I can't come up with a better word for the disjointed-feeling events.) I'm just perplexed that everything that was so novel about the first book was pretty much abandoned in this one.
