Never long enough! I loved being back with this incredible group of characters and the Guild Codex Universe.

LOVE everything Annette puts out. Seriously. This is just as much worth a read as every other Guild Codex book—the quality never wavers. Love seeing Kit's character become more dynamic (I mean, he always was, but now we get to *see* it) over the course of his series.

Amazing how much peril I can feel when I actually know what the ending is going to be. Can't wait for April and Kit's next book!

This novella is set during the same period as Damned Souls and a Sangria and Delivering Evil for Experts. It shows the events at the MDP that are happening during that period.

It was a great little novella and Kit's character is such great fun to listen to.

More Than a Little Warped is set between books 3 and 4 in this series. While it is shorter than the rest of the books, I do feel it's an important read as the events in book 4 build onward from what happened here and I am glad I decided to read it first. Due to circumstances I had to read this one on my computer which diminished my enjoyment a bit as I don't like reading ebooks on there and I struggled to get into the story due to that and it took me way longer than normal to finish.

More Than a Little Warped takes place during the events of the last book in the Spellbound series and contains some spoilers for that series. As it had been a while ago since I read that series this book didn't read as smoothly as I was trying to remember what was going on with Tori and the guys. And while there are hints enough the focus here is on Kit's point of view and having only his side only tells part of the story. I do think my enjoyment would be greater if I had been able to read it shortly after finishing that series when those events were still fresh in my mind.

Despite the large tie in with the two other series and giving a fun look to what Kit is up during that time, this book is also an important one for Kit's story. It introduces Söze and sets up the type of character he is and the start of the trouble he is causing in the precinct. I only just started book 4, but it takes place shortly after the end of this one and refers the events in this book a lot so far.

I liked reading about Kit again and seeing him use his warp powers as well as some movie references as usual. There are some nice scenes with Lienna as well. I am glad book 4 was waiting for me after this one so I could dive into more of this series.

To summarize: More Than a Little Warped is a novella set between books 3 and 4 in this series and is an important bridge between the two books. It also takes place during the final book in the Spellbound series and show what Kit is up to during those events. I had some trouble getting into this book due to having to read this on my computer instead of an ereader. I struggled to remember the events from Spellbound and what was going on there and because it's been a while since I read that that made remembering those events and enjoying this book a bit harder. This book sets up an important plot line that continues in book 4, so I would recommend to read this novella first if you can.
