The best thing that can be said about it is that it's short. Basically YA, and simple for the genre, mixing hints of post-apocalytism with spirituality. It's too plebeian to be terrible.

It was very Lord of the Fly-ish. I enjoyed it though. Currently my 14 yr old niece has borrowed my NOOK and is engrossed in it, so I definitely see myself buying more from this author. Can't wait to read what happens to all the characters

The premise is strange and the character development lacking in this short story. I don't find myself interested enough to look for the other books in the series.

This reads like a synopsis of a novel. And not a very good one, at that.

The earth has suffered some major disaster forcing people to steal, loot, kill, etc in response to the shortage of food, fuel and everything else needed for survival. Elysia now hears the voice of the fox spirit and she joins up with a guy who used to be a super close friend. he hears the voice of a bear. They follow their spirit guides and end up in a place where a whole community of people who hear these voices is forming.

"3.5 out of 5 stars. Very cute! Good characters. This is a prequel story to the full Aspect of Crow series, and I'm definitely curious as to how the community they build will work out."

This was a nice short story to show how the reawakened started their lives in the wild. I just wanted there to be more, and I wanted to know more about the two main characters in this.

Yes, I do get a little obsessed when I totally love a series, I sometimes just wish it would NEVER end :)
