i dunno, a novella about 2 characters no one knows or cares about is risky and it didn't really pay off in this case. i mean there was nothing offensive or awful about this novella but like... 90-something pages does not make me invested in a relationship and there wasn't enough sex to make this just a fun smutty read...

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I found out that Meg Cabot was releasing not one, but two adult romances this year! I couldn’t wait to read them and now that I’ve read Bridal Boot Camp, I’m even more stoked to read No Judgments! I didn’t realize until I opened up Bridal Boot Camp that it was a novella, but the short length didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story at all. It was funny, sweet, light, and put a goofy, happy smile on my face and just made me feel all warm and gooey inside. I think Bridal Boot Camp was a great prequel to lead us into the Little Bridge Island series and I am so looking forward to visiting the island again!

There really isn’t much to say about this novella. As soon as it starts, it's over. I’m not even kidding. I get that it was supposed to be the setup book for the series, but I got nothing out of it. This is a novella with only four chapters. What could you get from that?

While I wasn’t into this, I am interested in picking up the first official book in the series coming out later this month.

This novella/short story was way, WAY shorter than I thought it was going to be. It's a little side story about a yoga/workout instructor who I think is going to be a secondary characters in Meg's new Little Bridge Island series. She ends up hooking up with a police officer (who seems like a nice enough guy) but that's literally all that happens. I ADORE Meg Cabot but I just don't have much more to say- fingers crossed the first book in the series is better!

Wow it pains me to give Meg anything less than 5 stars because in the past I’ve loved every word she’s written, but this short story just does not show off her writing as well as I know it can be. If you’ve never read something by Meg Cabot (and why the hell haven’t you read her books? They’re delightful!) just pick something else to start with.
This is rushed, the backstory lacking along with the chemistry between the two leads which could have been there had the story been about doubled in size (a better length for a true novella anyway). I’m still very excited to read the full novel coming out, but this story doesn’t really help amp you up for it 😔

I couldn’t get past the initial fat shaming and diet culture, and the constant praising of cops left a sour taste in my mouth. It’s a no from me, but I have hope for the core series.

I didn't realize this was a novella. Given that, I found the ending extremely abrupt. The novella was good but the whole thing felt like the beginning of a whole length novel rather than a short story. This is why I gave it such a low rating. There was no sense of completion or finality. Rather, Bridal Bootcamp is like watching the first 15 minutes of a rom-com.
