It covers some very disturbing topics including graphic molestation/statutory rape scenes, in some places it felt poorly written, and the text is pro-cop. On the plus side, it was propulsive and hard to put down. (I wanted to make sure it turned out well for Cassie.) But the pluses didn't change the sick-to-my-stomach feeling the book left me with.
