I will say for this one the story did do some pretty cool things, but I was also kinda ready to move on to the next thing and just wanted to be done with it.

The cool stuff that it did do does make me want to re-read it in the future and I think I will enjoy it a lot more because I'll have the foundation that I think I was kinda missing in the first read. Part of this is because of how I consume media, I just push through until things makes sense and that doesn't always work for stories with a bunch of different things going on.

3.75 stars, rounded up.

Yay, we're finished! The writing in this series never felt as polished as in most A-list fantasy series, but the plot itself was fairly on par. There were once again some minor pacing issues. The revelations near the end of the book were solidly established but still surprising. And the end was the first point during reading that I ever got truly emotional, even though I sort of knew what was coming.

SpoilerI took off .25 of a star due to the decision to destroy magic for good. It was reasonably justified in this story, but I'm with Brando Sando on this—it's never what I really want to have happen. Why leave the world a duller place than when you found it? Oh, well.

This was a good final book. There was a lot of action and I found myself laughing out loud at some points (drunk Tea 😂) and feeling sad for other characters. I enjoyed the series as a whole and would recommend

3.5 really.

"Are you ready, love?" - I'm just... Sigh. Happy sigh.

I don't really know what to say here without spoiling everything. Only giving this 3,5 stars instead of 4 because I felt it dragged in certain parts, particularly about the revelation of certain someone/s. Tempted to give it a full 4 stars because of the ending. Endings with emotions that make me tear up, gosh. I'm glad I read this trilogy because just the world itself - you can see how the author put so much thought into building it. There are places described in ways that they come alive in your brain, specially places that we kept returning to. Especially loved the entire heartglass idea. And the characters too - I just want to reach out and give big hugs to Tea, Kalen, Likh and Khalad, like so much, you have no idea.

Also, Miss Chupeco, I see you with those dedications and specially the one in this book. I wholeheartedly agree. About Tom and Idris too. Can't wait to read other works by this author.

We finally get to have our questions answered as to the moments that made Tea into this badass anti-herione on the brink of war. Filled with daevas, revelations, and betrayal, this will surely quench your thirst for action and answers. The author did a great job at tying up loose ends.
I kinda disliked Fox in this book. I guess he’s grieving the death of his other sister but he is basically condemning Tea to death (as well as his). He is quick to accuse Tea and doesn’t even listen make sense of it. No wonder she blocks you out of her mind. If I were Tea, I would’ve found a way to kill that familiar to never raise again and live out my life with my love.
