Fun story about how seven sisters' different strengths & talents helped save them from a tricky situation. Includes a hungry dragon, which my little boy loved. I like that it included strong women with several traits (math, athletics, driving) that aren't typically considered female (alongside the more typical cooking, communication, etc. skills). Would e a good book to read along with a discussion of teamwork.

This reminds me of the book Seven Chinese Brothers. It's an old book and I remember it was read to us in first grade and I loved that book. I still remember it and have read it to my niece and nephew who didn't love it the way I did.

Each sister has a gift. Working as a team they can do anything, including saving their sister. I did love seeing the oldest on the scooter going up the mountain. That was brilliant.

I love Grace Lin and I found this while looking for anything new she has. I felt it was a good story. The poor dragon in this book is so skinny, breaks your heart.

Such a cute book from my childhood! I found it on my mom’s bookshelf. :) A fun story.

A cute story- a retelling of a Chinese folk tale- about a dragon stealing the baby sister and the other six sisters going to save her. I decided to read this as part of my Grace Lin Reading Challenge even though she didn't before this one. It's great when an illustrator has a signature style.

My kids want to read this constantly. Archetypal but feminist, so I don't mind.
