My kids are really enjoying these books. They are the first chapter books that we are reading, and even my 2 year old is liking them.

Wow, this book was horrible. I know it's an "easy reader" and all (which generally are not quite as good as your average picture book) but wow. The scary part is that it was named a 2007 Geisel Award Honor Book. Yikes. Normally I'm a big Kate DiCamillo fan, but this was horrendous. I'm embarrassed for you, Kate. Please don't ever do this again.

mercy watson goes for a ride with her "dad" mr. watson. her neighbor, baby, has snuck into the backseat to experience a bit of "folly."

and of course, mercy doesn't just take a ride, she wants to drive!

as always, chaos ensures. but things are always made better with toast heaped with butter!

Not sure how much the boy liked this one, but I found it charming.

Silly and fun for the whole family. I think we missed a few things since we didn’t have the pictures in front of us, since it was an audiobook.

Hilarious series that my kids want to read over & over. Great for a starter for chapter books as there aren't too many sentences on a single page and plenty of bright illustrations. Fun/ adventurous story line. I wish there were more of these!
