Sanderson’s climaxes continue to be unlike anything else in fantasy literature, so kinetic and exciting and addictive. This series has really grown on me! The Alloy of Law was very much minor Mistborn for me, and even though the next two books have failed to reach the original trilogy’s heights, they have still been delightful, pulpy fantasy with great action and strong character work. Hyped for The Lost Metal!

2/3 of the book was just people being told where to go and going there. Nothing really happened, except 2 cute scenes between Wax and Steris.

However, the reason why I have this book such a low rating is one single character: Wayne. I always loved Sanderson's books not only because they're good stories, but because it doesn't have the sexist bullshit other male author put in their book for "rEaLisM" (sure, Jen). And then this book happened...
- He finally stops harassing a woman, only to ask for a threesome when he finds out she has a girlfriend.
