So much juicy tension that I thought I was right there on the mountain with them! But all that tension is for nothing because the ending falls all the way flat. Ending makes hardly any sense and honestly makes it seem like the author gave up on the end of the book.

i liked this a lot -- it's really tightly paced, genuinely frightening, and full of the author's obvious expertise with this kind of intense hiking holiday. i also learned things about swedish culture?? that's a really interesting bonus with books like this. very fun and i recommend it
