This is a collection of poems that spans so many conditions of the human spirit, from a sleepless night with a baby, revolution, immigrants, the election of 2016... I really enjoyed it. I like the juxtaposition of action and animals. The imagery is striking and unexpected—his wife’s glances like sonar pings... Santos deftly covers a wide range of subjects. This collection is worth checking out.
