I’ve had this book on my radar for some time and I just finally got around to reading it. I really enjoyed reading from the different perspectives of these Muslim women, of course these experiences are not for every Muslim women but the amount of essays we get here was really cool to see and gain some perspective. I would definitely recommend this book, go in with an respectful and open mind and heart, you may actually learn a lot about the culture and different aspects of their livelihood.

(I automatically give 5⭐️ for memoirs as this is an extension of someone’s life and do not feel it is fair to give a rating.)

A much-needed space for a diverse range of Muslim women to share their experiences and views. An ode to the power of stories, conversations and creating spaces for expression. I learnt something new from each essay, utterly brilliant. Great editing.

I loved this book. I found the blend of personal stories, information, and the feminist perspective completely engaging. The authors are from many different countries and cultures, and their experiences were so personal and unique. If you want to lose yourself in fierce, funny, tender, sad, resilient, informative and affirming stories from a diverse group of feminists please read this. It’s wonderful.
