I didn't actually finish this, but i can't add notes for myself if i put it on my DNF shelf. These are the poems I was looking for.

I bookmarked so many of these poems that the book is stuffed full of paper now. :p
One of my favorites:

We have not come here to take prisoners
But to surrender ever more deeply
To freedom and joy.

We have not come into this exquisite world
to hold ourselves hostage from love.

Run my dear, From anything
That may not strengthen
Your precious budding wings,
Run like hell, my dear,
From anyone likely to put a sharp knife
Into the sacred, tender vision
Of your beautiful heart.

We have a duty to befriend
Those aspects of obedience of our house
And shout to our reason
"Oh please, oh please
come out and play."

For we have not come here to take prisoners,
Or to confine our wondrous spirits
But to experience ever and ever more deeply
our divine courage, freedom, and Light!

I’m overwhelmed. I wish I could give this a sixth star to demonstrate just how much these words touched my soul. Truly a gift, indeed.

I loved so many of these poems but had this little voice in my head the whole time saying Hafiz didn't write this, the translator did and he obvious took creative license with the poems. Still...

I'm a little unsure of the translation, but Hafiz lights a fire within me. I feel like I should be reading from The Gift every morning, before I start my day.
