Finally the lead character seems to have some conflicting drives and is realistically drawn and is taking charge of his life instead of being the victimized good guy. NOW I'm starting to enjoy the series.

Another great story about Wyoming game warden, Joe Picket, by author CJ Box. I haven’t been to Yellowstone NP yet so I was interested to learn about the park, as the setting of this disturbing and plausible mystery. Next, please...

The ride that came along with Joe getting his job back....kind of was another good one. C.J. Box did it again. These books are such a new and refreshing change to the mystery thriller scene. The moral questions and realistic character struggles are relatable both when their good and bad. The dynamic between Joe and Nate I s one of my favorites. The question that was posed at the end of us not really being sure about someone is also realistic I. The way that sometimes you just don't get all the answer, you get most of them and that has to be enough.

Might even be 4.5. If you want to get to know Yellowstone Park this is a must read. Along with it is a few murders to be solved too! Really a good read

My favorite so far. I love that the issues Joe tackles are real!
