Unsurprisingly, way less sexy than every other book in this series. I thought there would be more internal sturm and drang from Joscelin about giving up the Casseline Brotherhood. Still, for stans it will hit.

I think I like Joscelin more from Phedre's point of view. There wasn't really any new information in this book, but I've also read Kushiel's Dart a lot of times so maybe I'm too familiar with the story. Joscelin does at least describe scenery much more than Phedre does, which seems fitting and true to character.
