i feel like this book is like the gateway to healing for many people and the foundation of superiority complexes for others (me). this was also one of the first books on my bookshelf which actually says a lot about me and what thirteen year old me strived for at the time… like why was i on the productivity slash self help side of instagram, i should’ve been at the club!

Clear is obsessed with weight, calories and surface level fitness measures. I do not recommend this book for anyone with body dysphoria or who deals with disordered eating.

I also wouldn’t recommend trying to live strictly by it if you have adhd, rejection sensitivity disorder, or are generally hard on yourself or obsessive.

The book is longer than it needs to be, though very well organized. I’ve used versions of these techniques and I think if you’re flexible with it you’ll get something out of the book. If you’re someone who finds it easy to blow off your commitments this book will probably be extremely useful in keeping you accountable.
