Cute and cozy. A bit predictable and slow in some parts but enjoyable nonetheless

Dragons and tea with the WI would struggle to be anything but cute. This one has sat on my Kindle for a long time, after reading it I am sorry I waited so long to start it.

Bit too heavy on the baking. And on Miriam’s ditziness. It’s hard to see how she could navigate the day without coming to harm.
When the author allows herself to wander away from her chosen schtick the writing becomes quite good. I think I detect a bit of romantic tension between the chair of the WI and DI Adams, too.
So between that and the occasionally lyrical prose, I’m inclined to read the next volume in the series.
