This book is a fun expose of a lot of different techniques, styles, and hands. I would recommend for the letterer who has at minimum a year of practice under their belt to a more experienced letterer looking for some new creative ideas or desiring to take their lettering into different mediums. I say that because the instructions are really surface, and require the reader to already understand what is meant my letter form or feel comfortable using a dip pen.

This book is not going to explain the mechanics of pens, painting techniques, or proper posture and hand position.

It is going to show you the many different ways Lettering shows up in the world, over 50 different hands or styles, and open you up to making letters out of any material. Would compliment well a zentangle book.
