I was under the impression Sandra Brown was some big, badass mystery writer. Are all of her books this mediocre?

Great thriller. A bit predictable but I don’t mind that sometimes.

I had to check the publication date on this to see when it was written. 2017 - boy this did not age well in that short amount of time. The cliched tropes of the cop who has no problem with breaking laws (breaking and entering) because he "knows" he's right plus the pursuit of the female after she says no - how is he that much different than the villain?

Just okay. It didn't grab me the way suspense books should.

I liked the first half of the book, then somehow it became to slow, too predictable, .

I wouldn't call this a good book. A good read perhaps. Pretty standard suspense/murder mystery with a couple pages of sex thrown in. It did however keep me interested enough to keep reading and breeze through it in a couple days.
