A bit back to preaching style for me, though Brock and Landon do seem to attract trouble where ever they are!
Bit of action, bit of coaching (Cunningham), bit of detecting and the baddies are caught.
These two would struggle to go undercover long term as their hearts are on their sleeves where animals are concerned. Though how someone can do these hunts is inconceivable to most.
A bit of education and a bit of entertainment, have enjoyed the series so far and there was kind of an open door at the end for another story.

Parks and Wildlife officer, Brock, and wildlife rehabber, Landon, are back, along with Bear. Brock and Landon are happily married and on their honeymoon, camping in the northern Colorado Rockies. Brock planned such a sweet, peaceful and wonderful honeymoon away from all the craziness of their jobs—but, it just doesn’t go his way.

Out hiking, they find a lost cougar cub and uncover the illegal trapping and capturing and killing of animals—the worst kind of people, who are willing to pay the high price for illegal hunting. While trying to help, Brock and Landon also meet new people, who work in their fields and help them as much as they can, sharing their knowledge. But Brock finds there is still intolerance and bigotry in their midst. Brock, especially, has to face the fact that things don’t work the same as they do in Teller County.

Cougar Chaos is really an emotional read. Besides the danger Brock and Landon face, they have to deal with the worst crime imaginable to wildlife. It was painstakingly hard for Landon just to put down a creature who was already suffering.

If you are a true lover of nature’s beauty and wildlife, you will never regret reading A.J. Marcus’s Mountain Spirit Mysteries series. He never ceases to educate and entertain with his amazing stories. He takes us into the world of Parks and Wildlife, the rehabbers and the creatures that are in danger.

Come along and follow Brock and Landon’s adventures, and Bear’s too, starting with Eagle’s Blood, Grizzly Discovery, and Moose Fever.
