It is easy to get into and I can see why people say this is their favorites. I thought this book next to no flaws except the length but nonetheless it was still enjoyable

I didn't love this one as much as other people did but it was ok.

Delightfully weird, clever little novel. However, I guessed the "who dunnit" much too early to enjoy seeing the pieces come together. The allegory was much too obvious. BUT I loved the characters and the concept.

Read in a single day! Very delightful, but also a little gory/macabre, just to warn you. If you liked The House on the Cerulean Sea, this book is definitely for you!

3.75 stars. Wow, the premise for this was so fascinating and I was so excited to read! What happens after kids get back from their mystical adventures in other worlds like Narnia, Oz and Wonderland? What kind of challenges might they face? This book explores that in such a beautiful, fascinating way. It discusses so many amazing themes, and it's one of those books that has so many important messages that we need to see more of. My Fantasy-loving heart was just so drawn in by this vividly described book, and while this one was not 5 stars for me, it still was such a fun, enjoyable read. I'm not used to novellas, so the quick end was a little jarring, but I'm so impressed with how the author made so much happen in so few pages. Will definitely be continuing on, and if you like books like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland, or some really good representation, this one's for you!
