I was so bored by this. The writing is very flat -- not voicey at all -- so every single one of the numerous characters sounds the same. The plot becomes increasingly implausible, and culminates with a sequence of . Further, the book depends on the reader becoming convinced that The Blinds as a community is worth saving, but there's no sense of the community -- no impression that this group of people cares about each other really at all. So why should we?
