Good idea, but it needs work.
I like the concept of this story, but not the execution. It's a clever twist on the "monster out for human flesh" idea, but the pacing is uneven (way too much time spent on mundanities) and the dialogue is a bit stilted, and it could stand a good proofreading. With cleanup it'd be really good.
