CW: death and violence
This book picks up right where The Language of Bees ends. It's an extremely fast-paced book and that doesn't slow down for anything at all. It also has multiple POVs, which took me a little bit to get used to. Mary, Holmes, Mycroft, and the person that they're in danger from all have perspectives that we get to read from. It's a big departure from the typical Russell novel, but I really enjoyed the switch up. Honestly, I can't wait to read the next book in the series because this one was such a change up from the norm!
