I realky like Joan Didion's style and her essays.
I liked especially essays On being unchosen by the college of one's choice, Why I write, Last words and Everywoman.com.

Again I have finished another Didion book, and have again felt a strange sensation that I have not paid enough attention to the work at hand. I’m not sure if this feeling is brought on by a worry that I am not smart enough to understand it, or perhaps not in the right mind. I can however say that I don’t think I was born at the right time to appreciate some of these essays, especially the ones that pertain to specific people (Martha Stewart not withstanding). However, I do think that I love Didion most when she is speaking about her home state, California, or when she details her family history. I feel as though I could read everything Didion has ever read, and still not be able to piece together the true meaning of her words.

for less than 150 pages, this book felt eternal..... so boring.... i couldn't care less about these topics. no unity in themes..... just some salvageable writing i guess.....
