A short story on a mans encounter with spirits, trying to understand the mentality they had when they were alive.
“Because we must all know our place in the great scheme of things. We respect mystery and silence and spirit.”
“His life had prepared him for everything, but not for death.”

Original short piece. Historical in content but a little sparse on entertainment value. Just average.

What a beautifully written and entertaining short story with a combination of fantasy, realism, history and Christmas!!
The Shortest Day is about an archeological professor who decides to visit a burial chamber in Newgrange over his Christmas break during the winter solstice. The locals are not happy about him coming to the site during this time because there are legends and secrets they wish to protect. I will never think about the shortest day of the year the same ever again!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just 31 pages. Its a good and quick read about a secret chamber that wasn't meant to be found. Wish it was longer.
