I definitely enjoyed it, but overall, I liked it less than the others in the series.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this one turned out. I was enjoying my reading of this-- it's fun to see how both Bookworld and the real world changed in the gap between the novels-- but I didn't feel like there was much cohesive story to be had. It was pretty impressive how Fforde managed to tie all the seemingly random pieces together in the last quarter of the book. So, another funny, clever Thursday Next book. I'm eager to pick up book 6.

I swear each Thursday Next book is better than the last. Really enjoyed this latest installment! Looking forward to the newest book!

Fun times, obsessed with the piana randomly being in Emma 🤣 definitely a book to be enjoyed by those who read a lot/know the western classics cannon

The last Thursday Next novel, which admittedly I read over two years ago, left me a little flat so I was over joyed to find First Among Sequels to be a riotous adventure with twists, turns, and laugh out loud book jokes as only Fforde can create.

Starts out a little slow but picks up to the Thursday Next goodness we're used to about half way through.
