I love reading an FMC who fights back, takes what she wants, & purely doesn’t give a f’ck.
Raylee’s character was all of these things & she was fiery as hell!🔥 (Pun intended—IYKYK 😂) I loved the way she fought Colt every step of the way & never took sh!t from anyone.

We meet first meet the MMC, Colton Knox, in The Sacrifice because he & his friends work for Tyson. He isn’t a Lord, but that doesn’t make him any less savage. Colt is an @sshole who does some twisted sh!t, but he knew exactly what to do & say to make Raylee literally melt, which was so f’cking s3xy.

One of the best things about this book was the fact that it addresses the differences between males and females when it comes to sexual preferences. It comes right out and calls BS about males being able to sleep around and get praised for it, while females are judged poorly and called “whores” for doing the same thing.
“Do you ever get tired of being a woman? Don’t you just want to know once what it feels like to be a man? To have a dick that can fuck whatever it wants and be slapped on the back for it, like you actually accomplished something?”
There is nothing wrong with knowing your body and leaning into what pleases you. It shouldn’t make a difference what your gender is when it comes to personal satisfaction, and women shouldn’t have to feel ashamed of what we like. So, kudos to Shantel Tessier for putting references to that in there several times. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

TW’s: This one focuses heavily on degradation, humiliation, submission, & control.
These characters hate-f^ck the hell out of each other. So, if you’re against those things, you’ll hate this book.
•Yes, the FMC is deep throating on page 1.
•Yes, she’s licking c^m off the floor by page 12.
•And, yes, they run a train on her by page 15.
BUT, if you stop reading after the prologue, you miss the whole point—Raylee Lexington Adams loves that sh!t!

In line with all the books in this series, things change around 70% of the way through. You get a short bit of suspense & a HEA—they REALLY “nailed” that ending (are two puns too many? 😂)
I wish it was longer. I would’ve loved to read more about these two who were toxically perfect for each other, but it was still a great & quick read.

If you skipped this book, or dnf after the prologue, you really missed out IMO. Maybe give it another try. You might be surprised by how much you end up liking it in the end. 😘

This one was interesting…

I’m all for having a plot outside of the smut, but this plot was WILD. We have step siblings, enemies to lovers, a sex tape leak, setting a car on fire, kidnapping, assault, murder, and somehow a HEA? The book was also set in the standard dual POV, then threw in a third POV just for one single chapter, which was a little odd.

Sabotage was much shorter and faster paced than the other books in the L.O.R.D.S. series. Additionally, the characters were not directly involved in the secret society upheld by the other novels (the MMC and his friends work for Tyson, from the previous book, The Sacrifice).

I don’t know how theses books continue to get better and better. Main male character is not a lord but works for one. Some familiar characters come through this book without having big parts. Female main goes through some rough stuff. I loved Colt and Ray and wish I had more.

The prose leaves much to be desired, or could use an editor. The story itself was fine.

✨ Sabotage - Shantel Tessier✨

Dark Step brother romance, a game of cat and mouse. Colton is obsessed with his “step sister” since the moment he laid eyes on her. He’s taught her how to be his personal pleasure toy. Raylee can’t find a man that tends to her needs like her “step brother” but this time he’s gone to far releasing a sex tape. He wants to play a game she is determined to win.

This book is base before the ritual, while it is a standalone it does connect to the lord world. As any book of Shantels is going to be dark and shocking. That’s what makes her books so good. It is spicy and full of kinks and triggers so make sure you read the trigger warnings. This book hits the dark spots, it’s a fast paced read and delicious. It’s just what you need if you are missing the lord world.

While this one wants my favourite, so it isn’t rated as high as the others. There isn’t much wrong with it though. It’s spicy as hell, minimal plot. It is what it is and that’s why you read it.

definitely not as good as her other books in the universe and it had so much more potential though at the same time it was also shorter than the others.
