I love reading an FMC who fights back, takes what she wants, & purely doesn’t give a f’ck.
Raylee’s character was all of these things & she was fiery as hell!🔥 (Pun intended—IYKYK 😂) I loved the way she fought Colt every step of the way & never took sh!t from anyone.

We meet first meet the MMC, Colton Knox, in The Sacrifice because he & his friends work for Tyson. He isn’t a Lord, but that doesn’t make him any less savage. Colt is an @sshole who does some twisted sh!t, but he knew exactly what to do & say to make Raylee literally melt, which was so f’cking s3xy.

One of the best things about this book was the fact that it addresses the differences between males and females when it comes to sexual preferences. It comes right out and calls BS about males being able to sleep around and get praised for it, while females are judged poorly and called “whores” for doing the same thing.
“Do you ever get tired of being a woman? Don’t you just want to know once what it feels like to be a man? To have a dick that can fuck whatever it wants and be slapped on the back for it, like you actually accomplished something?”
There is nothing wrong with knowing your body and leaning into what pleases you. It shouldn’t make a difference what your gender is when it comes to personal satisfaction, and women shouldn’t have to feel ashamed of what we like. So, kudos to Shantel Tessier for putting references to that in there several times. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

TW’s: This one focuses heavily on degradation, humiliation, submission, & control.
These characters hate-f^ck the hell out of each other. So, if you’re against those things, you’ll hate this book.
•Yes, the FMC is deep throating on page 1.
•Yes, she’s licking c^m off the floor by page 12.
•And, yes, they run a train on her by page 15.
BUT, if you stop reading after the prologue, you miss the whole point—Raylee Lexington Adams loves that sh!t!

In line with all the books in this series, things change around 70% of the way through. You get a short bit of suspense & a HEA—they REALLY “nailed” that ending (are two puns too many? 😂)
I wish it was longer. I would’ve loved to read more about these two who were toxically perfect for each other, but it was still a great & quick read.

If you skipped this book, or dnf after the prologue, you really missed out IMO. Maybe give it another try. You might be surprised by how much you end up liking it in the end. 😘

First book I read to try and get into reading. Very fast paced and included a lot of sexual material that was questionable. Plot and characters were very forgettable. Kinda just a quick smut read.

This one was interesting…

I’m all for having a plot outside of the smut, but this plot was WILD. We have step siblings, enemies to lovers, a sex tape leak, setting a car on fire, kidnapping, assault, murder, and somehow a HEA? The book was also set in the standard dual POV, then threw in a third POV just for one single chapter, which was a little odd.

Sabotage was much shorter and faster paced than the other books in the L.O.R.D.S. series. Additionally, the characters were not directly involved in the secret society upheld by the other novels (the MMC and his friends work for Tyson, from the previous book, The Sacrifice).

At first I loved this story, and couldn’t understand why it had like 4/5 stars in the reviews online. I usually don’t read books with anything below a 4.4, but since this is only 230 pages and I’ve heard good reviews, I thought I’d give it a shot. The characters are unhinged and deranged, there are a bunch of messed up scenes in this book. It’s easy to read it as fiction and enjoy the craziness. But the part that gets me is that she is constantly crying. Like she enjoys it, but she cries? I wish it was more enjoyable and less extreme and violent for her. I get the whole humiliation and degrading part of it all and how it’s her kink, but besides her climaxing and her inner monologue, there is no evidence of her actually enjoying what Colt does to her. After the incident with her ex I was so hoping he would be gentle with her and show her how precious and loved she is, but she pushed him and got it rough again. The ending kind of ruined this book. Like it had great potential all the way up until after the incident with her ex, but the author kept it dark and effed up. I like a good dark romance, but I feel like this is a dark humiliation book, no romance about it. Definitely 4/5 stars.

Guys, you have to check out this book—it's like a rollercoaster ride of crazy twists and turns that had me hooked from page one to the very end! I didn’t think I was gunna read this one of Shantel Tessiers books but it ended up being great! Colt, the main character, is not your typical Lord type, instead works for a Lord but man, does he bring the drama!!! And then there's Raylee, the drama queen, the leading lady, who seriously needs some therapy, but her chemistry with Colt? Off the charts! I mean, Raylee's journey is just so intense and has a bunch of ups and downs!. She's dealing with some deep stuff but Colton drives her story in weird places, and I couldn't help but root for them every step of the way. But let me tell you, the villains in this story? Ugh, they had me fuming!
Nate is the worst, I knew he would be a different type of terrible and don't even get me started on Mike.
READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! For damn sure. But hey,
at least justice was served in the end.
If you're into dark romances and gripping fiction, this is the book for you. If you read the others in this series then you can handle this one no problem. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down. Definitely an interesting addition to the LORDS series — wish it was longer but despite it being a short novella, it was JAM PACKED with craziness and intensity.

My first read of this kind... went in out of morbid curiosity but came out surprisingly impressed with the fluid writing and vivid sex scenes. While I'm not particularly into the stuff in the book (oh me oh my🫣), I can say that, just off the strength of the descriptions, I get the appeal.
Sadly the smut is surrounded by a pretty weak plot. It starts off as an intriguing story about the incredibly toxic, but magnetic attraction between the main characters, but then it just gets sillier and sillier with the inclusion of a weird criminal cult gang thing (?) and culminates in a truly gratutious (and very graphic) rape scene. The ending also feels rushed, which is a shame, because the escalation of tension in the beginning is very well done.
Recommended if you want really dark smut, not really otherwise.
