As a father of just 18 months, I've found that fiction impacts me much more in the last year and a half than it used to. Being a dad has made me kind of an easily-moved guy, and as a result this book about sons basically ruined my night. (In a good way!) The Last Verdict was a powerful little parable that reinforced my conviction that to identify with the crucified Christ requires that we be people of grace, of a justice that flows deeper than retribution.

Does anyone out there know Governor Pete Ricketts personally? I kind of want to buy him a copy of this book.
