So, apparently, Calvin Coolidge had a pet raccoon while he was living in the White House! FANTASTIC. This is exactly the kind of presidential fun fact that I want to know. I enjoyed this easy reader book, which has cute and expressive illustrations, and found the story fascinating.

Not a very stunning beginning reader, but the topic is fun and it will connect with other nonfiction and poetry well.
