Wow, I really liked this one! I mean, it was really dark and disturbing to read at times, but I really enjoyed the characters and the story.

A nice bit of insanity that I should have gotten around to reading years ago

AWESOME. I really didn't know whether to give this a 4 or 5.

The main character seems like he's just the biggest asshole. But, he does actually have a heart. He's based on Hunter S. Thompson, but I only know the basics of his life, so can't compare.

This series just seems to take ALL the classic SF ideas with some acid and meth, and throw them in a blender. And, the plots are pretty good, too.

The series put Ellis on my "love this author" list.

I read the whole series but didn't want to put all the volumes up here. An interesting cyberpunk look at journalism and at how low the world will sink if we let it. The all pervasive pessimism gets to be too much at times but it is interesting and the art is quite good.

Not a big fan of the sex-crazed idiotic future that is portrayed.

Aaaaargh. Esto es tan, pero tan fabuloso! Absolutamente todo: desde la narrattiva, pasando por la estructura visual, hasta los diálogos y todo lo que escupe brutalmente Spider Jerusalem: "No matter how big the idea they all stand under, people are small and weak and cheap and frightened. It's people that kill every revolution"
Pero además, es especialmente fantástico por la atinada manera de mostrar el periodismo, o al menos cómo debería ser. Es mi oficio hace más de 10 años, y Spider ofrece una de las mejores definiciones que he leído en mucho tiempo: "Y´see, they say journalism is the art of controlling your environment, but that´s all wrong. Journalism is just a gun. It´s only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that´s all you need"
No sé cómo tardé tanto en leerlo.

DNF.  The art style wasn't for me.  And I'm so distracted by the cluttered art to read the story.

A great world and characters. Plus the art is super. I can't describe Spider without profanity, but this series is not for kids. Not little ones at least.
