These books are always great! The illustrations are amazing, the story is short and to the point, giving just enough information for a young reader. There is always a short bio and timeline at the end for an adult. These books can be used in multiple ways in a classroom or at home! My one criticism is using the word “Little”, I know that might be “the point”, but it just rubs me the wrong way. I wish they’d replace it with the word young. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

'Michael Jordan' by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Lo Harris is an ebook in the Little People, Big Dreams which features biographies for young readers.

As the 4th child in his family, little Michael Jordan was always competitive, especially with his older brother Larry. His parents encouraged their kids to play all kinds of sports. When he didn't get a spot on his school basketball team, his mother gave him some good advice and the rest is history.

As a Michael Jordan fan, I'm familiar with much of his story, and it's distilled nicely here with some encouraging words for young readers.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook. The illustrations by Lo Harris are warm colors and

Interesting introduction to the basketball legend that is Michael Jordan. A good book about working hard, practicing your craft, perseverance and working as a team to achieve your dreams and a great inspiration for little ones.

Love this series! Michael Jordan was THE household sports name when I was growing up. And even though I was never big into sports, I still grew up with the film Space Jam which I did like. It was fun reading more about his life. I enjoy the little people, big dreams books!

Little People, Big Dreams is a wonderful picture book biography series. The books are informative enough with additional info and photos in the backmatter. Sometimes, though, especially when it's about super popular- and living- people, the books don't seem to have the same punch to them. It's great they have different illustrators but can be hit-or-miss depending on if you enjoy their style.
