Not a great book, and I don't at all recommend it unless you have a soft spot for old books that are fun but have no literary value whatsoever, but I'm very fond of the Ringer, and who doesn't love a good criminal who goes after the bad guys that the police can't touch?
Personally I'm addicted to Edgar Wallace in a mild way, and I'm very fond of many of his books, but that's not the same as thinking they're actually good books!
