I like the art and the idea of the story, but the execution lacks cohesion and transitions are rough. It makes the story confusing. I might give the next collection a try because book one left me wondering what will happen next.

Um, I am not sure what I just "read." Read being there are no words in this! I have a copy for review and it is nothing but images? Why a writer and illustrator when it is just pictures?! They art isn't badly done but this makes no sense. I feel as though I just wasted 10 minutes of my time clicking thought images on my kindle. Ugh. Very disappointing.

Beautiful illustrations all gothy and vibrant. I'd read it for the art alone, though the story is definitely intriguing. 3.5 stars.
