In my annual preparation to watch V for Vendetta I happened to find this on the free shelf of my local library and wanted to learn the story. A delightful tale of patience and revenge, I see why V admires Edmond Dantes so much!

Soooo... I listened to the original (unabridged) version of this story as an audio book, and I was positively confused. xD I couldn't keep track of all the characters. #SoManyFrenchNames
But rather than read the whole book AGAIN, I read this abridged/illustrated children's edition. And now I'm no longer confused!! Success!! xD
This is actually a fantastic story. I'll have to give the original book another try at some point... but next time, I'm definitely reading with my eyes, not my ears.
