Je suis incapable de bien déterminer la note que je devrais donnée à ce livre.

Je l'aime bien et est probablement bon pour être dans mes favoris, mais je ne sais pas comment le noter.

Edit : je lui accorde aucune note.

Good book. Really surprized to see a non Indian understanding the culture of India in a very good way. But the genre of the book is prose poetry. I am not a big fan of this genre. So, I was not able to enjoy this book to its fullest extent.

I didn't understand a fucking word of this book. But, hey, no complaints here. Funny after reading "Savage Detectives," in which the central characters adopt a stance towards Octavio Paz not unlike the contempt that is held for Robert Frost (or some better parallel, I don't know) by hip college-age poetics in our country. Either way, this book is a trip.

A short walk, pilgrimage, a questioning of the distance language puts between us, the permanence of slipping shifting nearing... there are parts of this that are wonderful koan-like contradiction, parts that are delicate descriptive poetry, parts that will frustrate any of us for getting nowhere.
