I really enjoyed this book because I saw myself in Silence since their struggles were ones I could relate to, being a trans man myself. However, I really didn’t like the narrator’s choice of ending. Maybe it was supposed to feel disappointing since the narrator is some man who wouldn’t understand. But it left a bad taste in my mouth which is why I can’t give it a higher rating.

A book genre I never read but wanted to expand my reading.

I really enjoyed reading this engaging book, however, at times it too slow for me. It took me a while to read it due to the slow pace.

The ending was one of the most satisfying I have ever read, and really rounded the story off nicely.

What was a slow book to read (perhaps just with me trying to read it before bed most nights) was a great adventure not only to medical times but for Silences' journey into discovering who they were.
