This was a very interesting book about Gaming, Maths, and History.

Nicely arranged, expertly narrated, and well paced.

If you are reading the audiobook, try to get the accompanying pdf if you can.

I enjoyed learning the origins of a lot of the classic games I've played over the years and others I've only heard of and most of all hearing about games that have been around for centuries that I've never heard of and would love to play one day. That said, there was a lot of ground covered that wasn't new territory for me, which is completely understandable and unavoidable, but left parts of the book feeling superfluous.

An interesting way of navigating through cultures, psychology and philosophy by using games as a tool of mathematics to describe the observations we have of the world we live in.
